You Can't Outspend
the Billboards.
So stop trying. You have to be findable at eleven at night, three miles away, on a phone.
Nobody sees a billboard in that moment. Nobody remembers a jingle. They open a map, they read three listings, and they call one. That contest is winnable, and it is not won with money.
A written assessment of where the firm actually stands
We look at where you rank inside your own radius for the matter types you want, what your Google Business Profile is missing, whether your credentials are readable by search engines and AI systems, how your review profile compares to the firms above you, and how long a test enquiry takes to reach a human.
You receive the findings in writing whether or not you engage us. No obligation and nothing conditional on hiring anyone.

What is personal injury law firm marketing?
It is the work of making a firm findable and credible in the hours and days after someone is hurt. It covers the Google map pack for car accident lawyer near me, pages for the specific incident and injury types the firm handles, attorney credentials, the intake path, and the AI answers that increasingly summarize options first. What makes this practice area unusual is that it is one of the most expensive advertising categories that exists — which means a firm without a national budget needs a strategy that is different in kind, not merely smaller.
A smaller version of their campaign is not a strategy
This is the trap almost every regional firm falls into, and it is expensive precisely because it feels like doing the right thing.
Reach across an entire market
Television, radio and outdoor are priced by impressions across a whole metro. That model works when your budget can saturate it, because saturation is the mechanism — the name has to be in someone's head before the incident, since nobody researches a lawyer in advance.
The same campaign, too thin to register
Spread a fraction of that budget over the same area and you do not get a fraction of the result. Below a threshold, broad-reach advertising produces almost nothing, because a name seen once does not survive until the day it is needed. You are paying for reach and receiving recall you never get.
Density in a space you can actually hold
Concentration inverts the problem. Instead of being slightly present everywhere, be the obvious answer in a defined area for defined matter types. You will not own the market. You do not need to — you need enough signed matters to fill a caseload, and that is a far smaller number than market share.
The radius math
This is geometry, not a model we invented. Coverage area grows with the square of the radius, so every mile you add divides the same budget across disproportionately more ground. Move the sliders and watch what concentration actually buys.
The arithmetic is simply budget divided by the area of a circle — area equals pi times radius squared. It is a way of seeing concentration, not a forecast of performance, and real markets are not uniform discs. The point it makes is nonetheless real: halving your radius quarters your area and quadruples your spend density on the ground you kept.
No case results. No settlement figures. No exceptions.
Results advertising is among the most heavily regulated parts of attorney advertising, and it varies enough between jurisdictions that a national template is a liability rather than an asset.
What the rule says
ABA Model Rule 7.1 states that a lawyer shall not make a false or misleading communication about the lawyer or the lawyer's services. The comments treat statements likely to create unjustified expectations about results, and comparisons to other lawyers that cannot be factually substantiated, as examples of what that prohibits. The model rule is published in full by the American Bar Association.
These are model rules. Every jurisdiction adopts and modifies them differently, with its own requirements on disclaimers, testimonials, results advertising and record-keeping. We do not interpret your state's rules and we are not your compliance counsel.
How that shows up in the work
- No verdicts, no settlements, no dollar figures, no implied outcomes — pages are built to convert without them
- No superlatives. Not “best,” not “top,” not “most successful” — unsubstantiated comparison is precisely what the comments call out
- No “specialist” or “expert” framing unless you hold certification from an approved body, in which case we name the certifying organisation
- Credentials stated as verifiable facts: admissions, courts, years, education, matter types handled
- Testimonials and reviews handled to your jurisdiction's requirements, with the disclaimer language your rules specify
- Every page goes to the firm for review and approval before it publishes
There is a practical upside beyond compliance. A page that substantiates everything it says is more credible to someone who has spent the last week being advertised at by six firms — and it is the same quality that makes content citable by an AI system, which can verify an admission date and cannot verify a superlative. Our general law firm SEO page covers this in more depth.
Two windows, and most firms only cover one
Injury matters do not all arrive the same way, and the second window is where a smaller firm has a genuine structural advantage.
The first few hours
Someone is at the scene, at urgent care, or home that night with a phone. They search, they read three listings, and they call. This window rewards map pack presence, a number that connects to a person, and an answer outside business hours. It is also the window every well-funded competitor is fighting for.
Two weeks later
They did not call anyone. Then the adjuster made an offer that felt wrong, or the pain did not resolve, or a bill arrived. Now they are researching properly — reading about how claims work, what a case is worth in general terms, whether they need anyone at all. This is a content contest, not an advertising one.
The one nobody is buying
Broad-reach advertising is nearly useless in window two, because the person is actively reading rather than passively receiving. Substantive pages that explain the process honestly are what get found, and they keep working for years after they are written. That is ground a budget cannot simply take from you.
Whichever window brings them, the enquiry still has to reach a person quickly. If yours are landing in an inbox nobody watches, that is the first thing to fix — see traffic but no calls.
The pieces that move a personal injury firm
Not a package. We start with whichever is costing you most and work down.
Concentrated map pack presence
Correct categories, accurate service area, real photographs, hours that reflect reality, and the ongoing signals that hold a position where you actually are rather than everywhere you wish you were. Background: what actually moves a Business Profile.
Matter-type and incident pages
Separate pages for collisions, trucking, motorcycle, pedestrian, premises and workplace matters, written for how someone describes what happened rather than how a pleading is captioned. This is what wins window two.
Intake and after-hours response
A form completable one-handed, honest response expectations, no dead ends at midnight, and attorney biographies substantial enough to survive a name search. This is the cheapest work on this page and usually the most valuable.
AI answer visibility
Structured, machine-readable credentials, admissions and matter types, so a system assembling a shortlist has something verifiable to work with. See how AI is changing local search and how AI agents pick which business to name.
Generative engine optimization
The same discipline applied to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, which build answers from entity consistency and citation patterns rather than rankings. Groundwork: how search engines decide what your business is.
A site that loads on bad signal
Hand-coded and fast, because someone standing on a shoulder with one bar will not wait six seconds. Credentials in text rather than trapped in images or PDFs. If yours is serviceable we will say so — see rebuild or fix it.
Not sure which applies? That is what the audit is for. You can also run your own site through our free tools first — no signup, nothing stored.
Four things that shape injury search in a metro
All four are structural, which means all four can be planned for rather than reacted to.
Corridors, not cities
Collisions concentrate on specific interchanges, arterials and commuter routes. A firm near one of them has a proximity advantage in the map pack that no billboard budget can buy — more in how a metro splits up.
Winter road conditions
Ice, mountain routes and first-storm pile-ups create seasonal surges that are entirely predictable on a calendar. Whoever already ranks catches them — see seasonal search demand.
Overlapping care providers
Injury clients frequently arrive through or alongside treatment. Practices in that orbit — chiropractic among them — search and refer differently than consumers do, and are worth understanding as a channel.
National advertisers are not local
Well-funded competitors buy the metro generically. They rarely build genuinely local content about specific roads, courts and procedures, because it does not scale for them. That gap is the structural advantage a local firm has and rarely uses.
Our own Denver SEO practice runs on the same signals, and the way we build local campaigns across the metro starts from the same assumption. Firms elsewhere are welcome — see every market we serve.

Personal injury marketing questions partners actually ask
It is the work of making a firm findable and credible in the hours and days after someone is hurt. It covers the Google map pack that appears for searches like car accident lawyer near me, pages for the specific incident and injury types the firm handles, attorney credentials, the intake path, and the AI-generated answers that increasingly summarize options before any list of links appears. What makes this practice area unusual is that it is one of the most expensive advertising categories in existence, so the strategy for a firm without a national budget has to be different in kind rather than merely smaller.
Not by doing the same thing with less money. Broad-reach advertising is bought by the impression across a whole market, and a smaller budget spread across the same area simply produces a thinner version of the same campaign. Concentration works differently: the same money aimed at a tight geographic area and a specific set of incident types produces real density where you actually are. You will not own the metro. You can own a corridor, and a corridor is enough to fill a caseload.
Because the value of a single matter is high enough that firms will bid aggressively for one enquiry, and because the category has attracted well-funded national advertisers and lead vendors. The practical consequence is that cost-per-click auctions are a poor battleground for a local firm, and that organic visibility, map pack presence and the ability to be cited by AI systems have unusually good long-run economics by comparison — they do not re-bill on every click.
Our full local campaigns generally run between $500 and $3,000 per month, and a single focused deliverable starts around $100 per month. For a personal injury firm the useful comparison is not our monthly figure against a competitor's retainer, it is our monthly figure against what a single click currently costs you in paid search, multiplied by however many clicks it takes you to sign one matter.
Google Business Profile and map pack movement is usually fastest, often 30 to 60 days. Organic rankings typically take 3 to 6 months, and personal injury is among the slower categories because the competition is well resourced. Intake improvements are the exception and can change conversion within weeks, because they act on the enquiries you already receive.
No, and we build so that you do not need to. Results advertising is one of the most heavily regulated areas of attorney advertising and the ABA comments flag it as likely to create unjustified expectations. Jurisdictions differ substantially on whether and how it may be done. We draft pages that convert on credentials, clarity and responsiveness instead, so a restrictive interpretation in your state costs you nothing.
We write to the standard rather than the edge of it. ABA Model Rule 7.1 states that a lawyer shall not make a false or misleading communication about the lawyer or the lawyer's services, and the comments treat unjustified expectations about results and unsubstantiated comparisons as examples of what that prohibits. States adopt and modify these rules differently. We draft without results claims or superlatives, and the firm reviews and approves everything before it publishes. We are not your compliance counsel.
That is a decision with real trade-offs and we are not going to pretend it is simple. Purchased leads can produce volume quickly, they are frequently shared or resold, the cost per signed matter is often far higher than the quoted price per lead, and the arrangement builds nothing you keep. Firms that use them well tend to treat them as a supplement to visibility they own rather than as the pipeline itself. Whether the economics work is a question your own numbers answer better than we can.
It is frequently the largest gap between firms that grow and firms that do not, and it costs nothing to close. Someone who has just been hurt is anxious, often contacting several firms, and weighing responsiveness as a proxy for how they will be treated as a client. Returning enquiries within the hour puts a firm ahead of most of the field. Widening the funnel before fixing it simply increases the number of people who leave.
They participate in the decision, which matters even where they stop short of naming a single firm. Assistants asked for help typically advise looking for relevant experience, verifiable credentials, reviews and clear communication, and they draw on structured, machine-readable information to do it. A firm whose credentials, practice areas and service area are clearly published is far easier for those systems to surface than one whose expertise exists only inside images or PDFs.
No. Denver and Colorado is home and where a lot of our local work is, but we build for firms across the United States. What changes between markets is competitive density, advertising cost and the applicable state bar rules, which is why the firm's own compliance review is built into the process rather than added at the end.
Motor vehicle and trucking collisions, motorcycle and bicycle incidents, pedestrian injuries, premises liability, workplace injuries, dog bites, wrongful death and product liability. They are searched very differently — some in the first hour, some weeks later once someone realises the insurer is not going to be reasonable — and the pages should reflect that difference rather than repeat a single template.
