Google Cuts Titles at 600 Pixels. Not 60 Characters.

Which is why yours looks fine in your CMS and gets chopped in the results. A capital W is nearly four times the width of a lowercase i, so counting characters tells you almost nothing. Type your title in below and watch where it actually gets cut.

Why pixels, not characters. Google renders titles in roughly 20px Arial and cuts at about 600 pixels on desktop, near 500 on mobile. Descriptions run to roughly 920 and 680. This measures your actual text in that font, so a title full of capitals gets flagged and a narrow one is allowed to run longer.

Tool 2

Title Tag Generator

Eight variations built on formats that reliably earn clicks, each measured and colour-coded. Copy the one that fits.

Generate title variations

Put the keyword first. Google weights terms near the front, and if the title gets cut you want the part that survives to be the part that matters. Brand goes last unless people already search for you by name — and remember Google strips the brand from a majority of the titles it rewrites.

Tool 3

Local Business Schema Generator

Structured data is how search engines and AI systems read your business as a fact rather than a guess. Fill this in, copy the output, paste it before the closing </head> tag.

Two rules that matter more than the markup. One: everything in here has to match your Google Business Profile and your website exactly — same name, same punctuation, same suite number. Contradictory records are why search engines get uncertain about you. Two: never mark up a rating you cannot show. Self-declared review scores are against Google's guidelines and can cost you rich results entirely.

Tool 4

What Can You Afford to Pay for a Lead?

Most owners judge marketing against a single sale. The number that actually matters is what a customer is worth over the whole relationship — and it usually changes the answer completely.

How to use the middle number. That is the point where marketing pays for itself and nothing more. The third number is what you should actually aim at. If a channel is coming in under it, the honest question is not whether to cut it — it is whether you can buy more.

Tool 5

Meta Description Builder

It is not a ranking factor. It is the only free ad copy you get in the search results, and it decides who clicks you instead of the result above you.

Build a description that survives truncation

Live

Front-load everything that matters. Mobile cuts near 680 pixels, so the back half of a long description is frequently never read. Put the offer and the number in the first sentence, not the last.

Tool 6

FAQ Schema Generator

Question-shaped sections are the most extractable content on a page — for Google's rich results and for AI answers. Paste your visible questions and answers; get the markup.

Turn a visible FAQ into FAQPage markup

Live

Your FAQPage JSON-LD

The one rule Google enforces. Every question in the markup must be visible on the page, word for word. Markup that says more than the page does is a violation, not a shortcut. Getting the questions right — the ones customers actually ask — is the part worth paying for.

Tool 7

Article Schema Generator

Blog posts with Article markup, a named author and real dates are what AI systems and Google's news surfaces can attribute. Anonymous, undated posts are the ones that never get cited.

The author is the point. A real person with a real page is a trust signal machines can verify. The markup just tells them where to look. If your posts have no author, adding one is worth more than the schema.

Tool 8

Campaign Link (UTM) Builder

If you cannot tell which channel produced the call, you cannot decide where the next dollar goes. Tag every link you put in an ad, an email, a QR code or an NFC tap.

Build a tagged link

Live

Your tagged link

Keep a naming rule and never break it. Lowercase, hyphens, the same source names every time. A month of consistent tags is worth a year of guessing. We set this up for every campaign we run, including the NFC taps.

Tool 9

robots.txt Generator

Most robots.txt files are copied from a template written before AI search existed. This one welcomes the crawlers that decide whether you get cited, and keeps the one folder you should protect out of the index.

A robots.txt that does not hide you from AI

Live

Your robots.txt

Blocking AI crawlers is opting out of AI answers. If you sell to the public, you almost certainly want them in. If you are not sure what a rule does, do not add it — a bad robots.txt is the fastest way to disappear from Google, and it is the first thing we check in an audit.

Tool 10

Business Info Consistency Checker

AI systems and Google cross-check your name, address and phone across your site, your Business Profile and the directories. One mismatch and you fail verification. Paste the three versions and see the differences.

Compare three versions of your NAP

Live

Format differences are fine; fact differences are not. "St" versus "Street" is normalized. A different suite number, a different phone, a different business name — those are the ones that cost you. Fixing them across every directory is tedious, unglamorous work. It is also the kind we do first.

The honest question

Do It Yourself, or Have It Done Right?

These tools handle the small things. The calculator below is what they can't: an honest look at what tight, professional marketing costs versus doing it yourself — in hours, in money, and in the customers you don't get while you learn.

DIY vs. done-right, over 12 months

What this does not claim. It does not predict how many customers either path produces — nobody honest can. It shows the cost of your time, the cost of the tools, and how few extra customers a professional campaign has to bring in before it is the cheaper option. Your numbers decide the answer. Tools We Do Not Pretend to Have

Backlink and authority checkers need a live index of the whole web behind them. We do not have one, and a page claiming otherwise would be selling you a number it invented. These are the free versions that genuinely work, from the people who do have the index.

Ahrefs Backlink Checker

Top 100 backlinks for any domain plus referring-domain count, no account needed. Watch referring domains rather than total links — a thousand links from one site is still one vote.

Google PageSpeed Insights

Google's own speed and Core Web Vitals test, with real-world field data where enough traffic exists. The only speed score that matters is the one from the company doing the ranking.

Google Search Console

Free, and the single most underused tool in local business marketing. It tells you what people actually searched to find you. Most owners have never opened it.

Rich Results Test

Paste the schema from the generator above and confirm Google reads it the way you intended before it goes live.

More of ours live elsewhere: the business assistant builds you a prioritised plan, the Ad Lab tests headlines and offers, and My Sales Help covers what happens after the phone rings.

Why These Are Free, Since You Were Wondering

Because gating a pixel counter behind an email address is a bad trade for both of us. You would give a fake address and I would get a worthless list.

The real reason is simpler. These tools solve the small problems. They will not tell you why you rank third in one neighbourhood and eleventh in the next, why your traffic climbs while the phone stays quiet, or which of those two is actually costing you money this month. That is the part people hire us for — and the fastest way to find out whether you need us at all is the free audit, which is also free, and also has no catch.

Questions About These Tools

Think in pixels, not characters. Google cuts titles at roughly 600 pixels on desktop and near 500 on mobile, rendered in about 20px Arial. That works out to around 60 characters if your title has a lot of capitals and wide letters, or 65 to 70 if it is mostly narrow ones. The checker at the top of this page measures your actual text rather than counting it.

Because it decides your title does not match the query or the page well enough. A 2025 study across thousands of keywords found Google rewrote about 76% of title tags, up from 61% in 2023, and stripped the brand name from a majority of the ones it changed. That is not a reason to stop writing them — your version is still the starting point Google works from. It is a reason to lead with the topic rather than your company name.

Not directly. It affects whether anyone clicks, which is a different and arguably more useful thing. Everyone in the top ten already has the answer; the description is your pitch for why yours is the one worth opening. Treat it as ad copy you are not paying for.

No. Every tool on this page runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is transmitted, stored or logged, and there is no account, no email field and no cookie involved in any of it. You can disconnect from the internet and they will keep working.

Paste it immediately before the closing </head> tag on your homepage, or on your contact page if that is where your address lives. It should appear once per site, not on every page. Then run the page through Google's Rich Results Test to confirm it parses before you forget about it.

Yes. Freelancers, agencies, in-house marketers, anyone. There is no licence and nothing to attribute. If they save you an afternoon and you remember where they came from, that is a fair enough trade.
