Denver AI Overviews optimization: be the business the answer names before the customer ever sees the map.

For the questions Denver customers ask a week before they call, Google now answers first and lists the map second. We make sure the answer names you, from the same Denver office that has ranked local businesses since 2012.

AI Overviews appear on somewhere between 8% and 68% of local searches depending on the study and the query, and the gap between those numbers is the whole strategy: the trade-plus-city searches that produce calls today are still map-first, while the “how much does a furnace replacement cost in Denver” searches a week earlier are answer-first. Denver AI Overviews optimization is the work of winning the second kind without losing the first.

Direct answer: Denver AI Overviews optimization is the work of getting a Denver business named and cited in Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode answers, and in the AI local pack Google is testing inside them, for the questions Denver customers ask before they search for a provider by name. It is built from a dedicated page per service with a price range and the suburbs named, question-shaped headings and FAQ schema, consistent entity signals across listings and schema, reviews whose text says something specific, and mentions on the lists and industry sites the answers draw from. Eye To Ad Media runs it inside full campaigns at $500 to $3,000 a month with AI search work included rather than billed separately, as single fixes at $100 a task, or diagnosed first with the $297 AI search visibility audit. Nothing visible happens in month one; citations typically follow in months five to eight.

The Denver picture

Two kinds of Denver search, and Google answers them differently.

The AI Overview statistics for local search conflict because they measure different queries. Sorted by query type, they tell one clear story for a Denver business.

AI Overviews on local searches, by study and query type (checked October 27, 2026)
Query typeDenver exampleAI Overview share reportedWhat leads the page
Explicit local intent“plumber near me,” “dentist in Lakewood,” a business nameAbout 8% (H1 2026 SERP-tracking summary, ThinkProfits)The map pack; on home-services searches it appeared on 97.6% in a 2026 study of 500 queries
Local commercial questions“how much does a furnace replacement cost in Denver,” “do I need a permit for a water heater in Colorado”21% to 27% (2026 compilations; one puts Q2 2026 at 27%, up from 8%)The AI Overview, then organic, then the map if any
Business-type questions“what should I look for in a Denver roofer,” “best time to reseed a lawn on the Front Range”68% (Whitespark case study; 39% returned a local pack)The AI Overview, often with an AI local pack of named providers

Google says the local pack ranks on relevance, distance and prominence, and distance cannot be bought. AI Overviews and AI Mode answers are not distance-limited in the same way: they name the businesses whose pages answer the question and whose entity is consistent, which is why a service-area business in Englewood can be named in an answer for a Highlands Ranch question it would never rank for in the map. BrightLocal’s 2026 survey found 23% of consumers had used Google’s AI Mode for a business recommendation and 45% had used some AI tool for one, up from 6% a year earlier. We reconciled the full year in Denver local rankings in 2026.

The work

Six things that decide whether a Denver AI answer names you.

Whitespark’s 2026 Local Search Ranking Factors (47 experts, 187 factors) scored a dedicated page per service and presence on curated lists and industry domains as the top AI visibility factors and summarized it as “mentions are the new link.” Here is what that becomes on a Denver campaign.

1

A page per service, written for the question

“Furnace replacement cost in Denver” gets its own page with the range, what moves it (efficiency, ductwork, permit), the suburbs you serve by name, and the symptoms customers describe. This is the page the answer quotes and the booking agent reads for a price.

2

Question-shaped structure and FAQ schema

Headings that match how Denver customers ask, a two-sentence direct answer under each, and FAQPage schema so the question-and-answer pairs are unambiguous to the model. Extractable facts, not marketing prose.

3

Entity consistency

Name, phone, service area, hours and services identical across Google, Apple, Bing, Yelp, the directories and your LocalBusiness schema, with sameAs links. Answers draw on several sources at once; a contradiction anywhere lowers confidence everywhere.

4

Reviews with specifics

The AI local pack justification (“praised for same-day service and clear pricing”) is built from review text. We set up the ask so reviews mention the job, the neighborhood and the technician, within Google’s rules: no incentives, no gating, one or two a week.

5

Mentions on the lists and sites the answers read

Chamber and trade association listings, neighborhood guides, verified directory listings, local press and published announcements. Our sister platform Distribute Press Releases publishes the announcements that give an answer something dated and specific to cite about you.

6

Measurement that counts calls

AI Overview and AI Mode clicks hide inside Search Console’s Web data; ChatGPT and Gemini referrals need a GA4 channel. We set both up and report booked jobs by source, not impressions, as described in tracking AI search traffic.

Local, organic and AI search are run as one engine on a Denver campaign, because the inputs overlap almost entirely. The AI Overviews SEO system page describes the method for any market; this page is the Denver version, with Denver data and the Denver office doing it.

What it costs

Three ways to buy it, all with posted prices.

Diagnose first

$297 audit, or free self-check

The AI search visibility audit records what ChatGPT, AI Overviews and AI Mode, Perplexity and Gemini say about you for your customers’ questions, who they name instead, and the ranked fixes; $297 one time, or $750 with the top fixes done. The free six-prompt self-check takes ten minutes.

Fix by the task

$100 a task

FAQ schema, LocalBusiness and Service schema, question-shaped headings, llms.txt, GA4 and Search Console setup, internal links: each a single fixed-price task on the à la carte menu, done 24 to 72 hours after access. Good for a business with a solid site that needs the AI-readable layer.

Run it as a campaign

$500 to $3,000 a month

The six parts above, with the local pack and organic work, from a Denver office. AI search work is included, not a separate line. Month to month; recurring plans renew until cancelled with 30 days’ written notice. Where you land in the range depends on your category, competition and site condition; Denver SEO pricing shows the ranges and the break-even math.

The timeline, honestly

Nothing visible happens in month one; that month is audit, profile rebuild, technical fixes and the service pages. Map pack movement typically appears in months two to four, organic rankings for competitive terms in months four to six, and AI citation typically follows in months five to eight. If your market or category is not worth entering, the audit says so.

What we will not promise

A citation, a ranking, a lead count or a date Google will show an AI Overview for your query. Google changes what triggers an answer month to month and the AI local pack is still a test. We show you the answers before and after, and we report calls and booked jobs by source. Seller: Search Converts LLC dba Eye To Ad Media; one-time work is all sales final; recurring plans need 30 days’ written notice to cancel, online at eyetoad.com/cancel or by email to info@eyetoad.com.

Questions people ask

About AI Overviews optimization in Denver.

The work of getting a business named and cited in Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode answers, and in the AI local pack Google is testing inside them, for the questions customers ask before they search for a provider by name. It is built from a page per service with a price range, question-shaped structure and FAQ schema, consistent entity signals, specific reviews, and mentions on the lists and sites the answers draw from.

It depends on the query. Studies through 2026 report about 8% for explicit local-intent searches (trade plus city, near me, business names), 21% to 27% for broader local commercial questions, and 68% for business-type questions in Whitespark’s case study. For the searches that produce calls today the map pack still leads; for the cost and how-to questions a week earlier, the AI answer leads.

Not by itself. Being cited by an answer is a different job from ranking; a page can rank first and never be quoted. The answers draw on a dedicated page that addresses the question, consistent entity data and third-party mentions. Many Denver businesses hold the map pack and miss the AI local pack above it for exactly that reason.

The $297 AI search visibility audit (or $750 with fixes) to diagnose; $100 a task on the à la carte menu for single fixes such as FAQ schema or llms.txt; or a full campaign at $500 to $3,000 a month with AI search work included rather than billed separately. Where you land in the range depends on category, competition and site condition.

Typically months five to eight of a campaign, after the service pages, entity cleanup and review cadence have had time to be crawled and corroborated. Nothing visible happens in month one. We do not promise a date, because Google decides which queries get an answer and changes that month to month.

For most Denver local businesses, no. Opting out removes your pages from AI Overviews and AI Mode, where the cost and how-to questions are now answered first. The click data on cited versus uncited pages favors staying in and earning the citation; we covered it in our opt-out post.

Same method, Denver edition. The system page describes the approach for any market; this page applies it to Denver searches, with the Denver study data, Denver examples and the Denver office doing the work.
